Cookie Policy

Note: this is the English version of our Romanian policy. In case of any difference between the two, the Romanian version prevails.

1. What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file a site saves in your browser. It can be used to remember a preference, to measure traffic, or to recognise you between visits.

Cookies set by this site itself are first-party cookies. Those set by other services loaded in the page are third-party cookies.

2. Nothing loads before you accept

This is the most important thing on this page.

On your first visit, every consent category starts denied. We use Consent Mode v2 with the defaults set to “denied”, which means Google Tag Manager loads only after you explicitly accept. Until that moment no measurement or marketing tag runs and no cookie gets written — except the strictly necessary one described below.

If you decline, the site works normally. We don’t limit your access to content because you didn’t accept cookies.

3. The cookie that remembers your choice

This cookie contains no identifying data and is not used for measurement or advertising. It is the only one that can be written before you accept anything, because without it we could not respect your choice.

4. What loads after you accept

As of this version: nothing. The site is built with no measurement container configured, so whatever you choose in the banner, the only cookie written stays the one in the table above.

If we configure a Google Tag Manager container, it will load only after consent, and through it the measurement tags we set up. Those may write first-party and third-party cookies, with durations set by each provider — and their list will be written here, in this section, as soon as they are configured.

5. YouTube videos load only when you press play

On pages with films we don’t load the YouTube player with the page. We show a static image and load the player only after you press play, from the youtube-nocookie.com domain.

The practical consequence: if you open a page with films and never press play, YouTube receives no request from your browser and writes no cookies. Only when you choose to watch a film do YouTube’s playback policies apply. That is a construction choice, not a default of the platform.

6. How you change your choice

You can change your option at any time from the consent banner, available from the site’s footer. The new choice applies immediately.

You can also delete or block cookies directly in your browser — each browser has its own settings for that, usually under privacy. If you delete the vmx_consent cookie, we will ask you again on your next visit.
